Brisson & Sedgwick Inc. is a full service translation and transcription company specialising in the French Canadian sector.
Situated in the Montreal area, we have been providing localised translation and transcription services to companies doing business in Canada for over 25 years. Our experienced translators are all specialists in the French Canadian language field and are able to provide a knowledgeable and insightful window into the French Canadian market. Translation
Document Translation
What is included in the translation fee?
Many translation companies do not openly disclose their charges and add on additional factors not included in their "per word" rate. At Brisson & Sedgwick all costs are clearly communicated to the client BEFORE commencing each project. The "per word" rate includes all translation, formatting and proofreading. Additional costs, such as additional reviews or extensive changes to the original document will be discussed with the client before being charged.
English to French and French to English.
Specialty Sectors - medical and pharmaceutical marketing, consumer marketing, instruction manuals, government reports, discussion guides.
We are able to provide "rush" turnaround times. Depending on the length of the document we can often return it the same day, or within 24 to 48 hours.
Simultaneous Translation/Interpretation
Web streaming – our translators are available to translate groups and interviews via web streaming. This is an ideal way to cut the costs of a project while still retaining the important aspect of oral translation.
Available locations: Montreal, Toronto, Ottawa and Quebec City. Other locations may be available upon request.
Transcription
Brisson & Sedgwick offers verbatim transcripts, note taking and translated transcripts. All our transcriptionists are experienced and accurate, and can handle most types of digital audio and video recording. We offer custom designed turnaround times suitable for any situation, as well as cost effective and accurate transcriptions suitable for most budgets.
We have experience in most areas of transcription including focus groups, interviews, medical interviews, earnings calls, conference calls, meetings and lectures to name but a few.
Unlike many companies, we charge by the minute and do not round up to the nearest hour. This allows you flexibility in your project costs and ensures that you are not overpaying for our transcription service. For our translated transcript service our talented team of bilingual transcriptionists can listen in French and type in English; this drastically cuts down costs for clients that require translated transcripts.

• Fluent in either French or English (or both)
• Word 2007 or more recent
• High speed internet connection
• Digital transcription software and pedal
• WPM of 65 or greater
• Accuracy of 98 percent
• Familiarity with marketing terms, focus groups, medical interviews and medical terminology
• Able to conduct own research when required
• Proficiency in formatting in Word
